It does make you wonder what these cancellers real motive is?

In the picture is. The Quaker Oats guy, Uncle Ben, Aunt Jemima. I don't know who the American-Indian one is.

so are companies not allowed to re-brand their products now?

Should things always remain the same?

These are commercial companies making commercial decisions on their branding which they are all allowed to do

So then you have to question the motives of these companies. Why would they change something that is selling well by using iconic characters (in the food selling world). Those characters gave those brands an identity that everyone was familiar with and trusted.

Some fictional characters in life are just sacred.

I wouldn't like it if they did a new seies of Mr Bean and they erased the character played by Rowan Atkinson' out of it.

There's even an Uncle Ben gag in an episode of Only fools and horses. That's how iconic a character he was, God bless him.
