China may pull Premiership Matches over support for Ukraine
China is set to pull television coverage of the Premier League this weekend over the planned “show of solidarity for Ukraine
The world’s richest league was facing a complete blackout in one of its biggest markets after announcing there would be a coordinated response at matches to Russia’s invasion of its neighbour. China has denounced sanctions that have been imposed over the invasion, blaming the United States and its allies for provoking Moscow. The Premier League announced on Wednesday that this weekend’s games would see team captains wear special armbands in Ukrainian colours and a moment of reflection and solidarity before kick-off. It said large screens at grounds would display ‘Football Stands Together’ against a blue and yellow backdrop, matching the colours of the Ukrainian flag, with the same words shown on LED perimeter boards during games https://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/world...?ocid=msedgntp |

Actually no, it will be sometjing anti-Ukraine. Maybe the ukranian anthem pre match, or fans holding up protest signs they don’t want Chinese viewers to see. Censorship.

Frist game on now

The Chinese Government never want to be the good guys do they?
I have never seen a Government from a well developed country take all of the morally wrong options as often as this Government likes to do. Honestly why would any country be enabling Putin? He has shown himself to be incredibly dangerous. |
