Watching the opening episode of this...

...I swear they don't make reality TV like this any more. FFS :joker:

17.00 - 18.30 ... ... ... the most unsettling 90 seconds of telly I've seen since... err... maybe since this aired.

"am bonnnnnnnaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh"

user104658 24-03-2022 12:44 PM

Richard: "You haven't seen my skills."
Shabaz: "OooOooOooooh am I going to see them???"
Richard: "No."

:joker: I don't think I fully appreciated a lot of this as a younger feller watching this.

The first person it was understandably the accent, she said "Bonnehh" in typical North of England style.

The second person she told I swear she straight-up said "Bonna".

Smoking in the house as well

:omgno:

when pete lets fly with the expletives and the other housemates are looking at him trying to act normal, it's priceless

You forget how normal it was back then. To be fair though, the smoking ban was great for Big Brother, some of the most machiavellian schemes and tightest cliques were hatched in whispered tones at the smoking areas...

Just finished the first ep.... onto the second... guess I'm not doing much work for the next week

In all seriousness I actually have some important **** to get done for the end of next week, this discovery is a disaster.

Glyn should have won. Best housemate ever.

The novelty of Pete wore off after a week for me and it turned out he was actually quite boring.

Pete was an interesting and unique housemate to be fair, but I agree he wasn't the overall MVP of the series. Then again, how often does the best or most memorable housemate actually come first? Quite often that the 2nd and 3rd places were far more interesting to watch than the winner.

Nah, I just go by the character of the person. If they're a "closet homo" or not, then that doesn't change a thing. That's not what's important.

its pretty much his whole personality when you look back in hindsight.

How have I only just realised that channel 5 have removed their rights and most episodes of every series are available to watch on YouTube. That's so great

I think Pete was a good winner…because as he settled in we saw his real personality shine through. Glen was nice but apart from learning how to cook an egg he didn’t do much…

user104658 05-04-2022 09:23 AM

I'm on Day 25. I forgot how much of this series was a string of people sexually molesting Pete and him just awkwardly accepting it whilst looking a little scared... and no one doing ANYTHING about it even though he said about 100 times in the diary room that he was feeling uncomfortable :joker:
