Oculus Quest 2

I got one of these the other day, and here is my review.

It's insanely good! I had no idea it was going to be so immersive. I highly recommend it if you are thinking about it and hesitant to take the plunge

Loads of the kids in my son's class got these for Christmas and they said at the time they are fab. Most have now got bored lol.....and the parent's are discovering them. My son asked but I know it will be a fad with him and expensive for a fad. I'm well tight apparently. Now all his friends are bored of theirs though, he sees my point and gets why a bike was a better "big" present

I have an Oculus Quest 1. I haven't used it in a bit though.

I mainly play Beat Saber.

We got one Christmas 2020 and to be fair my eldest does still use it a fair amount. But she has a long-standing "internet pals group" from all over the world who have been chatting for years, and I think going on VR stuff together adds an extra dimension to that for them, getting to "interact" in a virtual space rather than just calls and messages. I don't think it would have lasted long if it was just with her school friends.

Youngest just likes going on Job Simulator to trash the place, laugh at the mess, then done.

Safety warning though, the first time my eldest went on one of these was at a shopping mall display thing and she tried to lean on the non-existant counter in Job Simulator and fell flat on her face. I'm not going to pretend it wasn't hilarious to witness - but still... risky...

To save some cash I just put a wellie boot over my head and then crash around the house banging into doors and falling over stools
