Pool or beach?

Im always shocked at hotels at the amount of people who’d rather sit by the pool than head to the beach.
Which do you prefer?

Swap each day.

Dogeatdog 07-04-2022 08:17 PM

Definitely the beach

Niamh. 07-04-2022 08:22 PM

I prefer a Lake

Will never understand why people pay lots of money to fly abroad only to sit by a pool all day which could be anywhere in the world. I'm not massively into beaches either tbh but at least there's variety in them and you get all the quirks and beauty of nature there

Pool….but if it’s a white sandy beach I can be tempted when the sun is starting to cool down. Sand gets everywhere though…a big turn off for me.

Neither

Iv not done either for 20 odd year s

Had to Google this as I had no idea what it was. It looks great, in London we have the River Thames, I don’t think it has quite the same effect tho :/

Beach 100%

My definition of a beach is a resort with a few beaches , ideally a harbour and rock pools close by .

Beach definitely. I love to sit on the sand and watch the sea

Strictly Jake 02-05-2022 06:44 AM

It depends on what I have planned on that day. If I want to spend the day on the beach that's what I'll do but if I have things planned like sight seeing etc then pool in the morning then go out. That said I haven't been abroad for ten years

bots 02-05-2022 07:32 AM

it depends. The pool has easy access to drinks and snacks, but if its a hotel where everyone rushes out at 6am with their towel to book their space, forget it

Both, it surprises me too when people say they've been away and not set foot out of the hotel grounds :/

That would be nightmarish !!

I’d rather stay home with my home comforts

Is it cold? I've never been there. Some family members go there every year.
