Most Loved 2022 proposal with public poll
 

Hands up if you would like Most Loved 2022. A top twenty countdown? It would be more basic than the usual excellent quality as I am reliant on my phone but if you could make allowances for that I'd give it my best efforts.

What’s most loved

It's a feel good forum event where you get to vote for your favourite members and give reasons why. It's done by pm and then the results are posted in a ceremony. It's sweet and lovely.

in light of us all learning from our mistakes, in light of also potentially becoming better members through constructive criticism

i'd say an upgraded version of Most Loved, and more in a ''Most Loved of All Time'' kind of way

would also be nice and maybe more inviting again for some of the more inactive members now, in case they are still lurking while logged out, if they could really see how much some are missed on here



i do have to admit without being too negative, i do miss the times when it was more crowded in this forum

This has been replaced by parmy deciding on a monthly basis, and that seems to be working well.

I think the fact that it would be closer to a top 05 countdown than a top 50 sort of answers the thread.

Issue you might have is that all the members who used to opt out make up a lot of the remaining posters lol

I think it's had its day if I'm being honest. It was nice in the past when the active members were in the hundreds, the results always had some surprises and there was a chance to recognise underappreciated posters. The last few caused more arguments than good feeling though, and it would feel a bit forced doing it now

Yeah sadly, I think now there would be more opt outs than ins and so it wouldn't have the same feel as it used to

Just do a most loved opt outs instead

it might be nice to have one but instead of the flowery reasons to have more jokey reasons for nominating people as long as they weren't rude...:suspect:
