[Netflix slashes staff after its share
price cratered by 50% in a month and it missed subscriber target by 200,000: Critics including Elon Musk say dull woke shows are to blame The streamer made many of the layoffs at Tudum, a website meant to market Netflix's programs The site, named as an onomatopoeia for the sound you hear when a Netflix show begins, was meant to allow subscribers insider access to the company's shows Netflix refused to tell the Los Angeles Times how many jobs were cut, merely saying 'our fan website Tudum is an important priority for the company' Some of those laid off took to Twitter, saying that the company had only hired them months earlier There have been several hypotheses for why the streamer is losing eyeballs, with many including Tesla CEO Elon Musk blaming 'the woke mind virus' Others, however, have suggested that the real problem is Netflix's habit of canceling beloved shows before their time, angering fans ] https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...er-target.html |
Netflix is struggling imo because of that massive price increase/lack of good new content and cancelling decent shows without letting them conclude.

How quickly the tide turns for these companies
The cost of living crises wont be helping either |

A mixture of things have harmed Netflix imo.
1. The only quality shows that I've seen them have on there recently are Deadwind, Arcane & Alice In Borderland, and if you're personally not into any of those Shows because you don't like Animation, Cop or Death Game Shows then you're kinda stuck with **** Shows imo. 2. Yes cancelling Shows that people actually like without resolving them is basically the same mistake that the Networks made when they were on top. |

THANKFULLY these days it seems most shows get a least a season's notice of ending, and can wrap the show up, even if it's earlier than hoped. |
