Are you a butter snob?

Will only real butter float your boat or is a substitute like I can't believe it's not butter or utterly butterfly more your thing?

Please reveal.

Yes, and not just for any old butter - preferably either Kerrygold or M&S with sea salt.

I will accept Anchor if I must.

No supermarket's own brands - flavourless :nono:.

I've got a cow I shake vigorously.

FYI I'm also a supermarket cheese snob, and not only that, different cheeses for different situations. Orkney cheddar for grated (e.g. on a sandwich) or melted in a toastie

https://www.slrmag.co.uk/wp-content/...ey-cheddar.jpg,

"Seriously Strong" extra mature for cheese sauces / mac'n'cheese.

And for "raw" on oatcakes or crackers etc, the mighty Cornish Cruncher from M&S :flutter:

I've literally never heard of cheese making people sweat :joker:. To be fair I don't even eat that MUCH cheese, it just has to be very specific when I do.

I don’t mind which butter I have tbh

Alf 03-05-2022 06:22 PM

Excuse me for butting in but I thought I heard you mutter that there's nothing richer tasting than the taste of anchor butter.
