62C refers to the surface temp and not the shade air temp where it reached 50C |

50C is a typical desert temperature, so it's not so out of the ordinary

If the air temp was 62 degrees they'd all be dead.
50 is still unimaginable to most of us brits, though. I start complaining when it hits about 24 :umm2:. |
One time i was in Cyprus it hit the low 40's and that was a tad warm. When I jumped in my pool to cool down it was like a turkish bath :laugh:
