[Guard dog trained to respond to commands
in German savaged three-year-old girl
because new owner couldn't speak
the language, court hears
A girl, 3, was bitten and shook by a dog that
only responded to German words
New owner Daniel Barge, 33,
could not speak the language to halt the attack
The incident which has left the toddler
scarred occured in Pontypridd, Wales
Prosecutor Jeff Jones said:
'The dog was trained in Germany and
the new owner was told it could easily
overstep the mark'
Mr Barge was given a two month
suspended jail sentence and paid
the girl £500 ]
