Do you wash your own car?
I do. Very satisfying having a sparkly clean car.
I use this; https://www.amazon.co.uk/Meguiars-G1...c=1&th=1&psc=1 Then I will wax it every few months with this; https://www.amazon.co.uk/Bilt-Hamber...24334957&psc=1 https://i.postimg.cc/gjtdYGJx/IMG-20...22903538-5.jpg Looks lovely when done, but is hard work. Waxing it reduces the washing time and you get lovely beading |
Generally only after I've had to dump a body.

Absolutely not, drive through car wash maybe twice a year :hee:

It will damage your paint. They're no good for your car. I have used them in the past and they're quite fun as you watch the big brushes slice past your face, but I learnt my lesson. |
If I’m in a hurry I’ll run the car through the car wash (which is quite rare tbh) but if I’m doing it myself I give the car a good rinse with the Jetwash to rid of any dirt and then begin to clean it myself.
My car does take a while to clean because it’s a convertible with a detachable hardtop roof, so I basically have two roofs to clean, the detachable one (which is really heavy and have to find somewhere safe to lay on the floor) and the soft top which folds away into the boot. My tools are a Jetwash, Electric Buffer, Microfibre sponges and cloths, Triplewax Gold Shampoo, Autoglym Soft Top Cleaner, Autoglym Super Resin Polish, Wonder Wheels Alloy Cleaner and Dodo Juice Wax to finish. |

I'd like to try snow foam, bit then I have to buy a karcher or jet washer and I don't think it would be worth expense. I just use a hose pipe with attachment and the pressure is more than enough. I use microfiber cloths to wash and dry I've used wonder wheels before but I think it's a bit of a fad, I can give them a good clean without. I hate cleaning my alloys and it's time consuming getting in all the nucks and crans |

A Jetwash is defo worth the money because it gets the job done a lot quicker but you have to make sure you use the right setting. I don’t like other people (mainly the car wash places) using a Jetwash on my car because they put them on really high settings which ruins the paint on the car. Wonder wheels is ok, it’s nothing special but it’s cheap and cheerful and the rims do always come up good afterwards. I agree tho it can be time consuming especially if you have alloys with lots of spokes. |
I think I know what I’m gonna do on one of the bank holiday days off

I take it to a good handwash place every other week and its only £5 and they do it all for you
|
i get the executive service from the hand car wash
|
Automatic car wash or occasionally the manual one at Tesco… I don’t have hours spare for cleaning a car :joker:
I need them all for work, childcare and arguing wiff u lot off TiBB. But yeah … usually the drive through one tbh. We occasionally splash out on a full valet inside and out, as I also cannot be arsed cleaning the inside of the car and kids are ****ing slobs. Probably about 3x a year for that. |

And here I was holding off on making a joke about LT getting handjobs for £5 because I thought it was too vulgar. :hmph:

Rarely - I usually go to see my Dad and make noises about how dirty my car is and how little time I have.....then he does it for me
My son is now just about tall enough to reach all the way across the roof so he can start earning his keep soon too. |
