WTF is going on with our country !?

Just caught the end of the story on the modern slave trade trial on Sky News


Apparently over 430 mainly young teenage girls were sold in the uk as slaves over the last 5 years - being physically and sexually abused before being sold .

It’s taken the Met police over 2 years to get the case together but then they get ridiculously lenient sentences

Four blokes and one woman convicted - all seemingly Polish

She was running the operation and got 2 year suspended sentence !!

The other guys who were doing the raping then selling the young women got around 3 years !!

They will only serve HALF those sentences of course

The victims were only women and girls, so why should the legal system care?

The islamic rape gangs were similarly ignored for ages, women have to make way for male people in their spaces and sports, sex crimes in general are under-sentenced, abortion rights are under attack in America...

Why would you assume that sex slavery would be taken seriously? It's only the second sex they're treating as property.

Sex crimes just don't get treated seriously at all.

Who remembers the paedophile getting community service a few years ago for molesting a 1 year old.

Our system is sick sometimes.

Throwaway people... that's how some are treated here . Nothing surprises me.

The sentences are pathetic and are in no way a deterrent

they can't stop illegal immigration, so how are they going to stop slavery. The 2 go hand in hand

I honestly don’t know what the judges are thinking these days tbh

Id imagine there is 100X more slavery today than there ever was in the 18 or 19th century
