Royal Mail delivery managers to vote on strike as jobs to be axed

[Royal Mail delivery managers to vote
on strike action as hundreds of jobs could be axed]

[Delivery managers at Royal Mail
will be balloted for strike action,
with union bosses warning there
could be parcel delivery chaos this summer.

Postal workers are unhappy with plans to
slash some 524 frontline delivery manager roles,
with Unite the union declaring there
would be a ballot.

Some 2,400 managers will decide on
whether to take strike action and
industrial action short of a strike between
6 June and 29 June.]

Why are they getting rid of managers
is it a machine taking their job?

Why are they sacking postal workers when the whole country seems to be buying off eBay or Amazon and there are more parcels and packages being sent out now than ever before ?!?

Amazon use their own delivery drivers not postal workers
Most people have online bills now and don't receive paper copies
A lot of eBay sellers use couriers and they are often cheaper then Royal Mail.

There are multiple days each week when I don't receive any mail.

Yes,
they appear to send letters in groups
so one may be 1st class
but, it arrives with others sent far later?

But hundreds of thousands of people are sending out the things they’ve sold on eBay .. I’d guess most will take them into the local post office
