USA: Tulsa hospital shooter kills 4

Just Yesterday.

[Tulsa hospital shooter killed
four including his surgeon
after 'botched back surgery' as cops
reveal he purchased AR-15 three hours
before the attack

Tulsa police said Michael Louis, 45,
was determined to kill St. Francis Hospital
surgeon Dr. Preston Phillips on Wednesday,
who had performed back surgery
on him weeks ago
Louis had been complaining about
back pain from the surgery Phillips
performed and had seen the doctor
on May 31 before deciding to kill him
and 'anyone who got in his way'
the following day
Police added that Louis had
purchased an AR-15 rifle from a
gun store less than three hours
before the massacre that also
killed Dr. Stephanie Husen,
receptionist Amanda Green and
patient William Love
Investigators found 37 shell
casings in total, 30 from the rifle
and seven from a handgun Louis
had purchased at a local
pawn shop on May 29]

He shot himself to death.

That's why there should be heavy restrictions in place.

Guns are still WAY TOO accessible in America, you can literally buy a gun when you're grocery shopping ! :umm2: .

Here in the UK ...... the biggest worry we have is knife crime, when gun crime DOES happen here it's not as regular. Whereas in America, it's practically every day we're hearing about yet another SHOOTING :bored: .

Those unhinged people will still find a way to buy or steal whatever weapons they want to carry out their atrocities .

Last weeks headline in the Manchester Evening News

Greater Manchester 'has 176 criminal gangs' - almost a quarter of them have access to guns

A new crime-busting strategy has been launched by Greater Manchester Police to tackle criminal gangs .

I see this mass shooting isn't as trendy as others.

It's losing the battle for airtime.

Yeah but Zizu ( and I said this in the other thread) , we're not just talking your standard hand gun .which is still scary enough. But these unstable nutters are carrying several weapons at once, anything from automatic ..to other gun types.

How does anyone have a chance against that when they're going to work or just casually out with their family, the average person should not be worried & fear going out ,but it seems in these places with high gun violence, you have to just accept ' oh well if I go out I might get shot', it's a crazy way to live .

True enough but even if they banned them all .. they will still be able to buy semi automatic guns or whatever- there will always be some unscrupulous individual wanting to make a quick buck or hundred..

But the point I'm making is the gun violence will atleast be ALOT LOW, especially in schools of all places.

You'll never completely STAMP it all out ,but like I keep saying ... here in the UK guns are nowhere near on the same scale as American.

In a year the UK will have up to 30 gun related crimes max if that ( which yes is Still really terrible) , but whereas if you look at America .. it's alot more killed & injured by guns within just a year . Last year's statistics alone = over 700 killed & almost 3,000 injured.

I thought we were talking about the massacres (rather than everyday incidents) and if someone was determined enough they can buy whatever they want sadly

Americans don't comment on the NHS killing tens of thousands each with their terrible service so Brits shouldnt comment on gun culture in america.

The NHS isn't perfect & it's future is uncertain , but atleast for now... you don't have to pay or fill out insurance forms ,when you need urgent medical care.

Don't worry, America will continue to soak in gun violence & blood. We all know that will never change :notimpressed: . School shootings & massacres being a 'norm' ... is the stuff of disturbed nightmares.
