Your cheapest/most expensive pint

Currently enjoying a lovely pint of Thatchers watching a local cricket game which the club bar sells for £2.50, cheapest pint I've had in a long time outside of Wetherspoons where I sometimes go for the £1.99 Stowfords

My most expensive pint recently was at a gig at the O2 in London, think it was £7.50. You get one round in and you've nearly spent £50 already. Think the most I ever paid was at JFK Airport where it was something like $17 dollars a beer. Ended up having two rounds for some reason  I once almost spent €20 euros on a beer in a bar while skiing as well but luckily noticed the prices just before I ordered. You see all these people in the bar though drinking champagne and stuff and must have been paying hundreds for it, it's totally obscene

What's the least and most you've ended up paying for a pint recently (or other drinks)

Thursday night Pound a pint at The Tower club in Hull.

Most expensive was probably at Wembley stadium, I think it was £5.50 and it came in a plastic vessel which makes it go flat.

That's not that recent though because I haven't been in a pub for about 3 years.

Yeah that takes the mick even more how the most expensive pints will typically be in stupid squidgy cups and they won't pour a full pint but venues always will charge rip off prices I guess

Just back from my golf Holiday and pints were £2.50 to £3.10 generally

Beso 11-06-2022 01:59 PM

Expensive drinks...2 vodka and coke, £31 in the Westbury in mayfair....I nearly shat in my pants!

£8 for a can of stella at a madness concert on clapham common.

Cheapest...78p for a tennents 70 shilling in 1986 when the barmaid used to rub your chin for your age ID.

I've missed you, hope you had a good holiday, and I hope you evaded the winds.

What was your average score?

Those plastic glasses killed me last weekend when I was working behind a bar at an annual event.

I'm so heavy handed I kept squeezing them to much while filling them. I got so bored after a while I just did it to watch the entertaining froth assembling in front of me.

Do they really sell pints for 1. 99 in wetherspoons?

I've never been in one.

I do that all the time, often convinced the glass has a crack in it but it's actually just my clumsy big hands squeezing them too much while carrying

They've been doing a few pints for £1.99 but think it's mainly been a promotion on their new pints and it does vary from Spoons to Spoons. Doubt you'd get a £1.99 pint in any city centre

How have you never been to a Spoons??

A double vodka and diet coke isn't a pint, is it?

I spent $140 on two drinks in Las Vegas once

Crimson Dynamo 12-06-2022 05:31 PM

After 3.5 hours in the sun last week and a decent card at Elgin GC i had a pint of this on draught and it went down quickly and efficiently. It was £3.50

That said in general the Tennents all week was first-rate.

Done that.

I'll ask again. A double vodka and diet coke isn't a pint, is it?

Not surprising :joker:

Alf 12-06-2022 06:23 PM

I spent £33 on a double cognac and contreau. Which is £10 more than Thomas spent on his most expensive drink.

That puts me top of the table, beat that.

It's not a competition and nice to see you finally understood the OP :hee:

Been looking at menus of places I'm visiting on london on holiday. Was shocked that some of them are charging over 7 quid for a pint!! Really?!?!?
