Pride

ThomasC 27-06-2022 08:28 PM

Not necessary.

The problem with pride is that it's an excuse for SOME gay people to dress up like sluts and try get laid.... Too much pretentious bull**** and queens. No thank you

It's actually the gay people I feel sorry for because these are just giving the community a bad name.

Well yeah you can't tar everyone with the same brush.

I don't think it's necessary...does it bother me, nah not really. It's a willy or a fanny.... We all have one or the other.

AnnieK 27-06-2022 08:32 PM

I think naked bike riding has become a thing recently. I was driving back from work recently and say a couple on a tandem naked.....it was naked bike riding day or something

ThomasC 27-06-2022 08:34 PM

I don't think children seeing it is the problem....

But it's just not really necessary.

Alf 27-06-2022 08:37 PM

It's actually illegal. It's indecent exposure.

Alf 27-06-2022 08:42 PM

What a knob head

Cops were probably dancing along side them.

Well children SHOULDN'T really be seeing naked adults should they ,as a matter of fact other adults don't want to see it either. And it is indecent exposure.

This ISN'T a nudist beach ,so why are they doing this in front of families etc ??. Typical selfish idiots wanting attention.

No one really wants to see. It's just a few dangly bits though, children see worse. It's not like they're having sex,,,they're just riding some bikes.

Oliver_W 27-06-2022 10:11 PM

When there's nothing left to fight for, the only reason Pride still has to exist is to make money for the organisera.

ThomasC 27-06-2022 10:11 PM

As for the willy penetrating the fanny, yeah that's just not acceptable

What about the naked weirdo in a bugs bunny mask, standing with I assume his bits out .

Swan 27-06-2022 10:54 PM

Tbh, and this is nothing against gay people at all, but had this been the behaviour of straight people flashing their bits in front of kids, it would be first story on the 10 O'Clock news.

It's defended in the name of 'pride' though. All logic and common sense is on a pretty steep downward spiral in the current climate.

I agree 100 percent with this swan. There is no defence for these perverts actions.

Yeah it's not necessary and no one really wants to see it apart from a minority I would imagine.

I don't really agree. It would have been put down to nataurism probably and exhibitionists

ThomasC 28-06-2022 08:53 AM

It's not about getting naked in front of kids....that's not the objective.

Nataurism is a way of life.... Can actually help with body confidence.

Do I find it necessary? No.... Do I find it appropriate?.... hmmmm, not really but I'm conflicted.... Is it damaging? Depends to the degree, but I don't really think so...

Most just don't want to see it though.

Big difference to just randomly deciding to take your clothes off though with the intent to cause alarm and distress.

I think what is defended is their way of life with nataurism being their way of life. I think that's how it fits into the pride category. In the sense of being able to be them and try to remove barriers of adversity

I spent some time with some hippies in Australia. I stayed at her house in a teepee in her garden whilst I was picking fruit.....they'd all painted this teepee on one of their naked retreats....bit mad, but lovely lady....it's a way of life for them

Do you not agree that it's becoming over sexualised in what is promoted as being a 'family friendly environment' though?

It's hard to remember what we'd think as kids being adults now, but im sure seeing a man in a bunny mask walking down the street with his knob out would just frighten kids. It's becoming less about liberation and 'pride' and more about 'sticking it to the man' imo. And the problem is any criticism for the most part is met with cries of homophobia, which isn't the case at all.
