When shoe shops had feet x ray machines so you could check if your shoes fitted properly :skull:

The one on the right yes, think that was still going when my kids got their school shoes
|
It was clarks shoe shops where i remember seeing them and I think i was bombarded with x rays on a couple of occasions
|
That is so strange, you would expect that kind of advancement now, not some staff member pressing the tops of your shoes to find your toes
|
Yeah I wonder why they stopped? Too much time and effort maybe?

Yes a Gimmick that had Real Danger |
There was also a thing in Clarks that you put your foot in, like a box, and from all 4 sides meta came out till it hit your foot and it measured your width and size. I used to like that.

Haha, no. Sounds like a 1950s sci-fi movie. :p

The x-ray showed they fitted in the right places and did not put pressure on bones and cause damage. |

Both ... my uncle ( and his brother ) ran the local shoe shop :) Good job as well as I was always wearing out my pumps / plimsolls ( before trainers had been invented) and footie boots Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |
They still have those ones at the right at Clarks not quite the same as that but still a big plastic measuring contraption that really scared my kids no idea why
