seeing a lot of promo for this series, has anyone from here watched it? if so is it any good?


i'm tempted to give this a go, since i always have liked stuff from Steve Martin

watched first 3 episodes last night


it's so hilarious, great combo of comedy and detective genre :love:

chemistry between Steve Martin, Selena Gomez, Martin Short also very much amazing


nice guest role from Sting too, also a role from Nathan Lane (he looks almost the same only older compared to what i know him best from the classic comedy Mousehunt)



:love: :love:, something for you Alf and LT to give a try too, since i know you guys have a good sense of humour

am so addicted to this



so so deserving of the emmy nominations it has been getting :lovedup:

I tried this the other evening but gave up after about 10 minutes .. just not for me .

issa great season so far


not going too much into spoiling it


but i can tease we have quite a lot of very big name actors guest starring into season 3 too

we have (Ant-Man) Paul Rudd, legendary Meryl Streep in a amazing role too


in Ep7 we had cameo's from top actors like Matthew Broderick, and also 97 yr old Comedy Legend Mel Brooks :worship: :clap1: :clap1:

I watched about half of season 1 but I gave up on it after that

Yeah … it’s not that funny and didn’t seem to be going anywhere after I tried it again and watched a couple of episodes

another fantastic ep


first rehearsal of Oliver's play with the orchestra


and omg what is Meryl such a superb actress in literally everything you throw at her, she deffo deserves an Emmy nomination for this role for sure

everyone can have different opinions, tastes


but tbh this is a quality comedy-detective series


Season 1 is also good yes, but seasons 2 and 3 are better


one of the best parts of the first season, i find Nathan Lane's sign language performance with his character's son




it has an 8.1 score on IMDB, very much deserved if you ask me



Steve's humour is something i always quite liked, also in the Cheaper by the Dozen films or as Inspector Clouseau in Pink Panther :love:


Martin Short i myself have liked since Inner Space and his role on Mars Attacks him seduced by that female alien in the white house :laugh2:


and this was a project been thought about 10 years ago



their chemistry with Selena Gomez is literally amazing, Mabel's dad in flashbacks being played by Mark Consuelos (yup, Riverdale's Hiram Lodge)



Jane Lynch playing Steve's stunt double character (Jane, or Sue Sylvester on Glee :flutter:)

Its unwatchable tripe sorry watched a few that was overkill .

filming work for season 4 has started

yes, Eugene Levy joined the cast :D


also Eva Longoria, Kumail Nanjiani, Molly Shannon have supporting cast roles

for those who don't know Nanjiani

he was the star in Welcome to Chippendales

and also had a role in the Obi Wan Kenobi miniseries

premieres this august :cool:



more star studded line up than the previous 3 seasons too

season 1 is a great start to the series (this one has Sting in a guest role)

season 2 is very good as well (Shirley MacLaine is literally the GOAT of guest roles here tbh)

season 3 is a serve (Meryl Streep is as phenomenal as always)



season 4 i am looking forward to a season with the likes of Streep, McCarthy, Levy in one series!!!



other good acting roles besides the dream trio (Martin, Gomez, Short) are Jackie Hoffman, Nathan Lane, Jane Lynch




season 3 also had

They definitely attract big stars.

not like Steve Martin isn't a big name either tbh


very strong household name, from the family comedy film franchise Cheaper by the Dozen, and Father of the Bride, as well as Pink Panther as Inspector Clouseau


this series making him also shine again with his music talents, i mean ''Angel in Flip Flops'' and ''Which of the Pickwick Triplets'' are good songs


as well as his cute love scenes with

+ that cameo of the legendary Mel Brooks was a unexpected awesome surprise :love:

whom still looks good on the screen as well, 96 yrs old when he filmed his scene for this

exciting times for this show, many emmy nominations, but how many will they win on September 15th
