Tributes when people die tragically
 

Sorry for the morbid thread but a young boy drowned at a local lake during the week and as I was walking round this morning a tribute had been started, among the usual flowers and candles , were bottles of beer (fair enough) but also bunches of bananas and a net of oranges, I wondered if he was just a fan of these items or if they were a cultural thing to send him on his way, I don't think he was British, anyone heard of this before?

Never heard of that no, very sad though :(

Yeah I don't know the full story but emergency services were called around midnight so I guess they were messing around as youngsters do

I never get people pulling pranks about dead people.

With teenagers you get all sorts of items left at shrines

It's usually flowers and soft toys, and notes like 'condolences' and sorry for your loss'.
