The X Factor set to move to CH5

Reports are saying CH5 have reached an agreement with Simon Cowell that will see the X Factor move to the channel for a new series next year

MTVN 09-07-2022 07:44 PM

Didn't they scrap BB because they wanted to move on from declining reality shows that were well past their prime

I think it was One Executive
under the then Rich UK Owner
who called him a P***
back then.

Offered him Sports Car
if he got the ratings up
he did get the ratings up.

I posted the Media Post Audio
with that Ch5 Executive fella
still there
Still working hard

On the New tibb Big Brother section

I have no doubt that they'll be talented singers on the Show.

But Ch5 make terrible programmes for the most part, I wouldn't trust them to run this Show personally.

I hope to be proven wrong though.

Haven't they destroyed popular music enough?

Simon Cowell destroyed an entire generation of people having musical icons.

Who still cares about Leona Lewis or Little Mix? and who will still care about them in 30 years time?

Answers: Nobody

Even TXF wouldn't promote certain songs that call themselves Music.

I agree with you about Little Mix.

But Leona tbf had some good songs, and a good voice.

I do agree that Leona had a fantastic singing voice. Probably the most talented person the Xfactor ever had and a lovely girl whom I wish well, but people arne't gonna worship her music in years to come, I don't even think they do now or at her peak.

Personally speaking I wouldn't say that Leona's Music is one of the best ever, but I do think her cover of Run was really strong and actually holds up with Snow Patrol's version imo (which I am complimenting her by saying that) and there is some decent songs for her here and there imo.

But no I wouldn't say her whole catalogue is a masterpiece personally, but I do respect her contribution to the Music industry more than most X Factor contestants.

Really Jake its old hat and deserved binning along with Simon Cowell . Sick of the sight if him , just go away Simon and pander to Eric.

I find it strange that the political climate we're living in that there isn't a generation of music that's making an impact.

Probably the ones who are speaking out against the established system (if any) are being hidden. It's all, spread the established message these days.

They're still singing about agendas that were won years ago or Love Ukraine and take your vaccine.

Strictly Jake 09-07-2022 10:44 PM

It needs to reflect how music is listened to now. Which means live show performances being available on Spotify. And tik tok needs to be used by the contestants etc

I do feel sorry for the modern generations when it comes to music.

In my day you could go to the record shop and spend all your pocket money on 1 album and you would play it over and over to get your money's worth and grow attached to that music and love it. Now they can just get music from any generation for free with the click of a button and the love is taken out of it because they just move onto the next thing in minutes.

If the public don't care anymore then why should the real artists?

What songs out there talking about taking a Vaccine?

Nicky91 10-07-2022 07:12 AM

well at least TXF isn't as vile as The Voice of Holland with sexually abusing coaches and bandleaders

we in my nation got a new ''talent show concept'' called I Want Your Song where unknown aspiring music talent can pitch their composed songs to more well known artists if they want that song to be their next song release

X Factor is no longer on our telly because the concept here died out pretty quickly in terms of viewer interest

viewers over here like reality tv shows more (Chateau Meiland, Familie Gillis: Massa is Kassa, former is about a family having moved to france to run a B&B, they are back in our nation now and the latter is about one of our richest people Peter Gillis and his many many holiday camping, bungalow parks, one of which was used for filming of the netflix series Undercover, its lead star Frank Lammers as Ferry Bouman, is voice-over in this reality show as well) both of which what i watch and i find hilarious

and as for competitions we tend to prefer shows like Survivor (Expeditie Robinson), The Mole, Domino Challenge, SnackMasters, De Verraders

as for music shows what are popular, Beste Zangers but not really a competition, just a group of singers, rappers each edition in Ibiza covering each others work, sometimes in different versions as well (all sorts of singers from pop, rock, r&b, operatic, nederpop, country)

As shyte as hip-hop is, it's probably the closest thing to "current punk", with performers (can't really call them musicians or singers!) speaking out.

As you say, proper music which does so gets buried.

So it's just a shame that the only rebellious sounds are incomprehensible :joker:
