Loci of control (A or B) - where do you stand?
This forum as it currently is probably isn’t the best place to go deep into social science but I feel like most people here would’ve heard of locus of control (in the sense of individual happenings being attributable to internal or external factors). For the sake of simplicity I’m going to just use an AB framework where A means you attribute more happenings in your life than not to external factors and B means that you try to resonate them with your own internal compass and experiences. Which of the two resonate with you the most?

I'm generally a complete C.

I was Joking. Definitely internal for me.

I went with B/C myself. I do like to own myself because I am pretty individualistic and self-contained (in as much as I pride social harmony). When it comes to interacting in the external world I’d much rather be the giver of good tidings than anything else and that’s quite a one-sided relationship with the outside world. I imbue myself with it so far as I can just be a good person and help other people but that doesn’t mean I let whatever’s happening out there give me a reason to not see my life circumstances (good and bad) as down to me alone. Some external circumstances are obviously unavoidable whether they effect positive or negative changes in your life but other than that I just don’t like attaching myself to the things of the world too much if I can help it.

“A - we’re interconnected so I do believe external ‘forces’ are always at okay”
play* poll typo (my bad). |
