Order food or drinks at the bar
 

When you are ordering drinks or food at the bar and someone comes right next to you even though they can’t get served until you do.

For me it’s the height of ignorance.

I don't see the problem with standing next to someone at the bar, you're not supposed to queue single file in a pub

In this case it is, it’s the till you order food on.

I would never dream of standing behind someone waiting to be served at a bar, if there is room at the bar then I stand at it, sorry Sherriff not sure how that is ignorant if I wait my turn :shrug:

This.....it's a bar, not a canteen. I'm always aware of who was there before me, but I am not at school, so I won't line up behind them :laugh:

This is the bar in the restaurant and people que up to place an order for food and a guy was already standing behind me waiting to order food when mr pompous came and stood beside me.

If it was a bar for drinks then it’s different

Okay it is a bit odd he would stand beside you particularly if there was someone waiting behind you but that said I don't think it is something that would particularly bother me unless he tried to push in

That was a very American word when I was growing up. Round my way we used the Rasta, stoner word "Man"

When I hear the younger generation today they use the word "Brother" I think they must have got that one from Hulk Hogan.

it's a personal space issue surely. If the bar isn't busy and someone is up close and personal at the side of you rather than standing behind, it would piss me off
