Hosepipes

A minister calls for a hosepipe ban in Britain (a country surrounded by water)

I suggest you all water the lawn tomorrow.

arista 06-08-2022 10:47 PM

Yes can still do it with a Watering Can.

Alf 06-08-2022 10:48 PM

It's only for you Southerners. Us Northerners will be filling the paddling pool up all week.

No it will be National

arista 06-08-2022 11:02 PM

No a National Hosepipe Ban

UserSince2005 06-08-2022 11:18 PM

The government would never ban my horsepipe, it brings so much joy to too many.

bitontheslide 06-08-2022 11:24 PM

i intend to use my horsepipe no matter what bans are in place

Oliver_W 07-08-2022 12:07 AM

Lol I'm not leaving my garden to die just because some morons in that London say so.

no time for fun in this horror summer

this vile summer has to end soon

Gusto Brunt 07-08-2022 07:24 AM

A hosepipe ban and we're a country surrounded by water. :D:joker:

And water companies in the UK lose 2.5BILLION litres of water everyday through pipes leakage. :nono::shocked::shocked::shocked:

And 'we' can't water our small gardens. :p :D

yes and you better listen or all of you will receive major fines

arista 07-08-2022 07:30 AM

Yes the Private Water Companies
can not afford to Fix the Leaks., Gusto

But they can Borrow money
and fix them.

The New PM
said to be Liz Truss

Needs to say they must Fix them from Day One
of her term
.

bitontheslide 07-08-2022 09:41 AM

new leaks are found and repaired every day, but the whole water system is completely broken in many places and there is no easy fix. So the government wont do squat about it

thesheriff443 07-08-2022 10:15 AM

The facts are, we pay for the water we use so you hose pipe rebels are lining the pockets of the water companies.

Nicky91 07-08-2022 11:41 AM

so britain hasn't got rainfall few days ago, and last week?

we did here in Netherlands (last week twice, once during the day unexpected and in evenings with thunderstorms, few days ago too some rain at night)

Nicky91 07-08-2022 11:58 AM

don't need to water our plants here now thankfully

deep in the ground they still have quite some water reserve for their roots as well so

watering your plants everyday is like spoiling children rotten, if you don't water them, they need to learn to find water deeper below themselves ;) otherwise they'll never grow longer roots

meanwhile our next door neighbours sit in a pool every day and every day wasting water refreshing that

Nicky91 07-08-2022 12:50 PM

btw using hosepipe to water the plants is not necessarily bad, but it more depends on what time of the day

its best to do that when there is no longer lots of sunshine so closer to the evening, lesser water waste and it actually going into the ground and to the plants, rather than in sunshine where most water vaporizes before it reaches the ground

we've always done it like that, closer towards the evening and looking at our rainradar app Buienradar if something is coming, if rain is coming then we don't use hosepipe obviously

and as for showering, my shower time is between 5 and 10 minutes, sorry not sorry, but in lesser than 5 minutes i cannot shower and i hate to be stinking like sweat before i go to sleep

Yes of course in Main Streets
they must fix it.
And pay for bottled water.
We are not talking about them

These other Big Leaks on old
Victorian Pipes that the Well Off Private Water Companies
are fully aware
is Outright refusing to Fix.
They have let them Leak Water forever?

Of Course they can Borrow Cash
and get every leak fixed

And The New Leader
Liz Truss
can instruct them to Fix these Old Leake's
by taking a Cash Loan

bitontheslide 07-08-2022 03:48 PM

but who will pay for it Arista? I will tell you, the UK public, so it is not going to happen

rusticgal 07-08-2022 04:37 PM
