awarded a place at
St Andrews University in Scotland
after collecting her A-level results.

Good for her.

I guess she just wants to see what it's like to be normal. To mix with average people.

But she'll never know what it's like to put your hand in your pocket or purse and find only 23p there.

there are only a small number of royals that get money from the public purse, the rest need to earn a living doing whatever they can. It's been that way for a long, long time

Even with that being the case, non of these royals are struggling for a few bob. This job must be a 'character builder' for her or something, spending a summer knowing what it's like to be 'normal'. It wont be for financial reasons.

Good on her and all that, but meh.
