Update

[FA bans Hooters from sponsoring an under
10s football team after the Nottingham bar
sparked outrage for 'sexualising kids'
and sending their waitresses to pose with the players

Burton Joyce recently announced
a controversial sponsorship deal with Hooters
The deal, agreed for their under 10s side,
was accused of 'sexualising children'
The FA has now ruled that the deal must end
as it breaches their regulations

Not this is something that actually sexualises children, whoever thought this was a good idea has to be brain dead, funnily enough though, not seen much about this in the news or on social media? I wonder why

LeatherTrumpet 04-09-2022 07:36 PM

I did not know about the update
one of my TV's has Free Speech Nation
on GBnewsHD.

An Audience member
in the Paddington Live Studio asked
was it right?

I hope that kids club does not close down
as sponsorship is hard to get, these days.

Hopefully a Premier League club will sponsor them.

Because people see this as " harmless fun" , so you probably won't hear much about it .

Never actually banned I don't think, the Sun only stopped it a few years ago and the Star even more recently than that

LeatherTrumpet 06-09-2022 09:14 PM

Page 3 was banned in 2015 following a three year campaign led by Lucy-Anne Holmes. The author launched a petition in August 2012 calling on then editor Dominic Mohan to stop publishing pictures of topless women. Seven months later, the initiative had attracted 84,000 signatures.

Thought it was longer than that ...feels like a long time ago

Banned in that case just means the Sun themselves decided to stop doing it though I think, the Star still had topless women on their page 3 for a few years after that

So I've heard anyway

The sun were forced into it by public pressure, showing a topless photo is still ok if they wanted to

Did Lucy-Anne Holmes and the other signatures not have anything better to do?

If women wanna do the work then let them I say, and I say the same for the male equivalent.

Who on earth in their right mind wanted page 3 gone so badly that they'd sign up to get it banned?:joker:
