Yep, not even close

Oliver_W 06-09-2022 08:52 PM

I've never particularly liked any politician, leastways not to the point where I think we missed out from the lack of their premiership.

joeysteele 06-09-2022 09:03 PM

I agree with bots..
I'd say John Smith.

I think he'd have been a really good PM.

Crimson Dynamo 06-09-2022 09:05 PM

Enoch

MTVN 06-09-2022 09:10 PM

Portillo

Denver 06-09-2022 10:08 PM

Penny Mordaunt

Kate! 06-09-2022 11:57 PM

Jeremy without a shadow of a doubt.

GoldHeart 07-09-2022 12:24 AM

Jeremy Corbyn

But i'm curious how someone like Rebecca Long Bailey would have fared , as she had potential .

Mystic Mock 07-09-2022 12:53 AM

Nick Griffin.:hehe:

Seriously though it's probably Ed Miliband, we could've seen him try to eat more Bacon Sandwiches.

I wonder how much damage that picture actually did. The following election led to the ConDem coalition (I think?) so even with the picture it wasn't a storming defeat.

I don't think it probably damaged him dramatically, but it probably damaged him just enough to lose the election.

bots 07-09-2022 07:13 AM

politicians that were leaders of their party and lost an election fair and square cannot be considered in this group, they had their chance and lost for whatever reason. For me, this should be about MP's that didnt get that opportunity

joeysteele 07-09-2022 09:31 AM

There's another I'd like to mention too.
As I agreed with it too from all I'd learned of him.

My Father was a great admirer of Michael Heseltine.
Thought he'd have been a really good PM.
I think so too.

Cherie 07-09-2022 09:45 AM

I can't tell if people are joking or not ,but the ridiculous fuss over that photo of Milliband eating a sandwich .. for god sake.

He was eating a sandwich & got snapped in a photo, the same people making fun of him .. well how many of them have their photos taken whilst their caught off guard eating?? ,How many of them look unflattering? . Bloke was eating a sandwich ..not sniffing coke .

The reaction was so OTT . How does the way he eats a sandwich determine whether he'll be a bad PM ??.

Poor Ed Milliband couldn't catch a break, people kept wanting his brother as leader instead as they're never satisfied. And his voice got made fun of aswell. Nobody listened to what he was saying. They just mocked him .

Personally I agree with everything you've said in this post.

But being real the Media and a large section of the public loved mocking him for the most silly reasons imaginable.
