How do you drink your wine?
Between Alf and LeatherTrumpet, misplaced biases and bizarrely-random comments about the apparent stream of ‘survey-questionnaires’ that come from me are welcome but I’m not going to be engaging with those inevitable comments on any level so if I were either of you I just wouldn’t bother. Stock-bait (especially when it doesn’t-even make any sense) gets boring after a-while. If me being a grammar-Nazi with a new-found want to hyphenate expressions which in the most-nichely-pedantic sense are supposed-to be double-barrelled confuses you, that really-isn’t my problem.
Anyway (to go back to the actual topic I’ve drafted-up), I happened-to be sipping a bottle of Bordeaux last night and the fact that I enjoyed the taste more the slower I drink it got me thinking about how the TiBB-lot in general likes to savour their wine. Do you down-it and get the drinking-process over-with rapidly (as-of it were water) or are you one of those people who really take your time when you’re sipping it out of a glass (insofar that you might-well even finish your meal before clearing as-much-as half-a-glass of red)? |
I put Nitric Acid in my Wine, pour some Honey in the mix, and then guzzle it down like there is no tomorrow.
Seriously though don't put Nitric Acid in any drink for obvious reasons. And I don't drink Wine, it's not my type of drink. |

Hope you enjoyed it. I really only have wine with a meal if out. Then at Christmas. One glass usually, drank very slowly. |
I love a glass of wine after a long day....I usually drink red but prefer a glass of pinot when its warm. Don't chug it, but can do a bottle in an evening easily, especially if I have friends round

I only ask that because of the stigma associated-with drinking solo but generally I think that stigma comes from an overwhelmingly-extraverted perspective. Even someone with a very outgoing personality can enjoy more glasses of red or cans of Carling than the decidedly-moderate limits mainstream-society likes to permit (otherwise you kinda risk coming-across as a problem-drinker or at-the-least a saddo with no social life) but the more socially-reserved are usually very sensible about their intake of stuff like that. They’re just (by their very-nature) more-comfortable drinking alone unless they have an actual planned reason to drink socially. Just like some people wouldn’t even-dream of dining alone or driving out-of-town alone because they’re so extraverted that they really need people around them all the time to get their energy but I feel-like just because modern Western society likes to frame that as the norm doesn’t mean everyone’s like that and wants to abide by those social rules. Sometimes it really is a game of ‘the-more-the-merrier’ but generally I don’t think people should feel like they need social permission to open a bottle of Pinot or Echo-Falls. If you’re a bit of an introvert doing stuff alone just comes naturally. |

I enjoy a nice chilled Rose in the warmer weather…enjoy a red with a meal because it’s a ‘sipper’ drink. However some days when you have had a tough day at work it seems to slide down quicker  |

I don't understand when people chug wine like water , it's meant to be enjoyed slowly ..so you appreciate it more .

Wine used to be my tipple of choice but now it gives me really bad heartburn. I don't drink these days anyway though I am gonna have one just to see the New Year in. That's my limit.

By now members should know I don’t drink, i and find it a joke that not drinking should be seen as a no no or awkward maybe because I have a strong character and I don’t need or try to fit in,
My partner and yes I do have partner despite Glenn and slims attempts to call me a liar or label me as incel She won’t drink cheap sh1t and I don’t blame the most I’ve paid is 14 pounds a glass Drink is over rated like most things in life and is often used as a coping/not coping substance I have a friend who is 18 years sober, she was abused and used drink to numb the pain thankfully she realised what it was doing to her and her family and she went to AA they do a buddy system that you can ring if you are struggling Another example, me and my brother gave a thousand pound for bottle of moet champagne dated around the First World War which makes it extremely rare and another bottle is on sale for 17,000 Ours got collected by a wine dealer took to London to be verified by experts, it turns out it must of been rebottled but they can find no proof of this The only way to see if it’s or not is to remove the foil over the cork and see if it has a Moët cork but that is where the value lays with it being in opened. |
Mix it with vodka to give it some kick.
