Have you ever noticed an advert on the TV for microwaves????

i've seen plenty product placement situations with microwaves which is another form of advertising

No there's been no meecrowaavey ads in my neck of the woods. I'm thinking of replacing mine ~ not sure how many years before thay leak etc... or what to buy , yet another minefield.

Do you mean in the 21st century? . Because when microwaves first came out ,there must have been.

Lol i went to a microwave demonstration about 1978/9 i was interested to see what they could do ! The woman doing demo was so embarrassed when everyone started laughing because the pudding she was cooking in the microwave behind her was completely overflowing and the bowl was melting.

I searched on YouTube and found 1 advert from the early 80s

same for cookers and fridges

Yeah was just going to say, those kind of appliances don't seem to have much advertising at all

Seems pretty rare to see adverts for any functional item really

Adverts are basically booze, cars, banks, shops, betting sites and that's about it :think:

For things you buy very occasionally they tend to advertise the shop

like currys or john lewis rather than the items

yeah when was the last fridge, kettle or washing machine ad on TV
