So I've been told.....

So I've been told I can't drink alcohol anymore. Ever ever again. I was virtually teetotal anyway so I'm not too bothered.

I'm actually in a pub right now with a pint of lime and lemonade feeling virtuous.

Checking out the menu for curiosity and they got a burger called The King Alf! Alf are you here? You are famous. Xx

If you had to give up something forever what would you prefer it to be? Would you find it easy?

Oliver_W 22-09-2022 01:45 PM

I'd give up strapping a hot air balloon to each limb and flying above the South Pole.

parmnion 22-09-2022 01:53 PM

Working for a living..

And yes, very easily.

Health comes first, and tbh if I had to give up alcohol aswell..then yes it might take some getting use to . But I don't actually drink much these days anyway .

Usually it's either special occasions, or its once or twice a week max .

Mystic Mock 22-09-2022 03:47 PM

I'd find it hard if I was told that I couldn't eat Crisps anymore.

MTVN 22-09-2022 04:20 PM

Can't imagine anything worse

I also don't drink. But there are a lot of non alcoholic drinks that are really good.
So if I fancy a drink I go for the zero alcohol option.

I have chronic kidney disease, so I've chosen not to drink. I don't really miss it, to be honest.
It's coffee I can't do without

Nice Kate

rusticgal 22-09-2022 05:18 PM

Sorry to hear that Kate…and Vanessa.

Tbh I always have a glass of wine in the evening and I would miss it…however I would replace it with something else if my health was at serious risk…so until I’m told otherwise

I've been told to eliminate as much sugar as possible from my diet. I'm borderline diabetic. I've been following an eating plan (Keto) and its really helpful.

bitontheslide 22-09-2022 07:12 PM

i'm not supposed to drink, but I have had a couple of beers, purely for research purposes
