Suspend definitely
How these people get to be MPs is sad really.

Just sickening these predators think they've any right to make others feel uncomfortable and even commit assault.

Another By Election.

joeysteele 21-10-2022 10:47 AM

The right thing to do definitely.
These people shouldn't be MPs.

There's a strategy to their behaviour. Just like paedos who decide to 'work' in the Scouts group so they can get direct contact with children.

I agree with that.

Much more scrutiny as to selection may help.
Although these kind of people are really devious however.

Labour Leader has time to talk about Truss
for all the news

But nothing about this Labour MP
Chris Matheson

Typical of Starmer

Has he been asked to ????

He has been investigated found to have committed offence/s.
He's resigned.
So is going and his career done.

What more is there to say.
The accusations have been looked into independently.
Found to be substantiated.
Suspension was recommended.
However he's resigned as an MP.

What more needs to be said.

There should be no place in any party for these individuals.
Nor even in parliament.
This one is gone.
Good riddance.

At least Starmer didn't PROMOTE him to anything.
Chris Pincher for instance still sits as an Independent MP.
And remains a member of the Con party too.

bots 21-10-2022 04:47 PM

it's not starmers problem anymore, the guy is no longer in the party

Exactly right.

arista 21-10-2022 04:51 PM

Would it hurt
Starmer to talk about his MP?

arista 21-10-2022 05:11 PM

[So is going and his career done.]

Unless he becomes an independent
he claims he did nothing wrong. Joey

He's resigned as an MP.
Plus there's no reason to talk about him because he is not a Labour MP anymore.

No need to waste any time on him.
He's also admitted he did some minor thing.
However what's minor to him may well not be a minor thing to the person who made the complaint.

Sadly Joey if these people had any sort of decency they'd know not to be a creep in the first place.

Labour's Samantha Dixon wins Chester by-election
with increased 11,000 margin over Tories

[Labour has comfortably won the Chester
by-election, the first public vote since
Boris Johnson and Liz Truss were
forced out of Number 10.
Samantha Dixon retained the seat for her party
with 17,309 votes, a 61% share and nearly
11,000 more than the Conservative candidate.

Labour was expected to win,
but the margin was bigger than in 2019
when the gap was 6,164 votes.]

New MP Dixon

joeysteele 02-12-2022 08:00 AM

It's a good win.
Only a 41% turnout which is usual in by-elections.

It fits in with a possible Labour lead of well into double figures in polling at present too.

Not a good sign for the Cons.
With the scandal that saw the loss of the Labour MP here.
The Cons may have hoped to see better here in this by-election under Sunak.

arista 02-12-2022 09:10 AM

"Not a good sign for the Cons."

Rubbish, it was a Labour Seat.

Rubbish, it was a Labour Seat.

Don't be so rude, it's not rubbish at all.

This was a Con seat all through right up to 1997.
Then went Labour.

It was won in 2010 by the Cons again.

Then went Labour by only 93 votes in 2015.

It's only been Labour in 6 general elections.
Perhaps check the facts out before you you tell others they're talking rubbish.

A seat that was Conservative
sure.

Yes, I must stop being rude
