Boris has pulled out.

So, it looks like Rishi Sunak will be our new prime minister later today. Pleased or not?

GoldHeart 24-10-2022 05:14 AM

I'm GLAD it's not Boris , that's all i can say about it..... But it's still the same garbage government :idc:

Can't say I'm pleased but I felt Sunak was robbed last time against Truss.
I did admire the vast majority of what he did during furlough.
Although he did leave out help for many self employed people.

Very pleased the truly odious creep Johnson is OUT the running and I hope gone for good now too.

I'll be much more pleased IF and WHEN this whole disastrous shambles of this Con party are OUT of government however.

It looks like markets have got the new prime minister what they wanted - and
Conservative Party members will be denied theirs.

as expected, and good on Boris for pulling out, after how they treated him the first time

good on Boris for showing he cares more about his own dignity

go to the UN, Boris, instead of the snakepit that is british parliament

wonder how long Rishi will last, 35 days? :joker:

Sunak better hope that penny doesn’t get 100 MPs because there is no way the conservative members will vote a rat looking snake traitor.
The BBC are trying to help Sunak get the MPs he needs by leading with the story that hopes on him becoming PM have lifted the pound a whopping 0.4%

Im not happy Boris has pulled out, I did like Rishi and thought he'de make a good PM, but lost that hope in him when he backstabbed Boris and started this shambles, but hopefully he will do a good job and bring back harmony to the party, I will judge him on that.

Boris simply realised that now isn’t the best time to take back control

Another 6 months or do and everything will look different .. the situations regarding energy bills , Covid , Ukraine , all the strikes etc

They will be positively begging him to come back plus all the backstabbers will probably be history as well ..

Boris didn't have enough support, he tried to bulldoze Rishi and Penny out the way so he could be crowned triumphant and failed miserably. At least 2/3 of tory mp's do not want him back. That isn't going to improve with time. They don't want him because he is toxic

First time for everything :smug:

This for me absolutely.

The delusion around Johnson is incredible.

A serial compulsive political deceiver and liar of the highest level, couldn't ever warrant my liking never mind support.

Well according to the news it simply wasn't the right time for him, he had over 100 votes and that was yesterday, but people will believe what they want to, in a way Im glad hes pulled out in another disappointed as for me Rishi is disloyal and a backstabber, but we will see, hopefully he will do a good job.
