Sure, things move slow

Crimson Dynamo 27-10-2022 05:28 PM

I note that Labour dobber in charge of Wales is going to the World Cup

what a plank

Oliver_W 27-10-2022 07:30 PM

Send the King instead tbh.

Though, if the bunch of worthless "world leaders" decided not to fly from all over the world and travel around in their penis extensions motorcades, they'd probably save on more damage to the environment than any of their mealy-mouthed half measures would achieve.

The Americanisation of the UK right is really turning out to be the most depressing part of Brexit. Climate action used to be agreed upon over here, but now we have people refusing to even acknowledge the problem and cheering on the fact we're sticking our fingers in our ears, closing our eyes, and just going lalalalalalala. All because their favourite tv news shows tell them what to think.

Is there any reason the meetings can't be held digitally? Rather than zooming around in planes, why can't they really protect the environment and Zoom on a computer?

"Climate action used to be agreed upon over here"

Yes Slim
what do you want to happen?

bots 28-10-2022 10:11 AM

the UN just came out and said the world hasn't a hope in hell of making the targets, we are all doomed. The uk contributes 1% to emissions, so what exactly is the point in getting distressed about something we cant change or even impact in a meaningful way

There was a fire in my kitchen, so I let it spread to the rest of the house rather than phoning the fire brigade and getting distressed about it.

If you don't want brown faces turning up here on boats, then you should be in favour of action being taken, because otherwise, climate change is going to massively speed that process up, as we didn't evolve to survive 50 degree heat.

Face Color has nothing to do with this,
Criminal Illegal Boats
need to be punctured more, on the French side

Now the UK Police can assist the French

OK lets pretend that's true (nudge nudge, wink wink), the point is exactly the same. If you don't want immigrants even though the country needs them, then you should be in favour of climate action being taken.

So what has happened within the last 6 or 7 years to stop immigrants coming here, make them feel far less welcome and for worse deals they could get from our neighbours?

Crimson Dynamo 28-10-2022 10:55 AM

10,000 Albanian crims is not climate-related
