I've never understood why we put the clocks forward. Makes no sense.

So farmers can milk their cows while its daylight

Nah we're all sick of it All this be grateful you get an extra hr in bed ~ no up at 4am instead of 5am and it takes weeks to adjust. Then guess what ! lets change the other way and here we go again, i've been wanting it to stop for last 25 yrs.

In practice, BST is way better than GMT.
But GMT means we are the centre of the world which we are.

I get the opposition to clocks changing (although personally I think it's a great thing) but really don't see why you'd prefer it to be GMT all the time than BST if you have to only have one :suspect:
