Matt's redemption
I like him.
Do you? Poll on way.... |
I do. I think he's great!
|
For me he needs to do more than go on IAC to be redeemed.
|
Nah
|
I’m not watching the show
|
yes
|
No way
I'm not now watching because Hancock and Boy George are still in it. They're both just 2 deceitful creeps. IF Hancock really warranted redemption. He'd seek it from the families of his and Johnson's policy of rushing the elderly back to Care homes, thereby infecting the other residents and their lives lost which should have been avoidable. He never has ONCE. I lost my Aunt because of that policy and all I've seen and heard of him since does not warrant him having ANY forgiveness, ... YET anyhow. Going on a TV show only plays further to his deceit and arrogance. At this moment I thoroughly detest the man and his long list of deceit. |

This is an ever open sore to me and the knock on effect on my Mum was painful to witness too. She was heartbroken at the loss of her Sister. She hasn't lived to see justice done but I'll use all I can to ensure he and Johnson may get their true comeuppance once the families can get their evidence given to this full independent public inquiry. When it eventually gets round to actually seeing the aggrieved familes that is. |

I'm so annoyed both him & BG have beaten Scarlett in the second elimination  . |
Yes…I like the guy. He has been brilliant in the Jungle…and he just seems like a decent bloke.
I would really like to see him win. :cheer2: |

There will never be any real justice, we can only hope they will learn from the mistakes that were made. |

Plus some people don't care about others hurt and fall for his deceit. Even when the Courts have ruled his and Johnson's policy UNLAWFUL. He could yet end up accused of even more wrongdoing. He's in there to get money and build up further his own ego, because even Sunak wouldn't even entertain him back in high politics.. Even blanking him when he won the leadership. Scarlett out now is she. Decent people out while 2 full of deceit creeps get voted to stay in. Shameful. |

It was a tough time for many facing the Pandemic. I think everyone did their best..but mistakes were made. I find it hard to blame anyone. Nobody deliberately set out to endanger lives. |

I do hope for more from the public inquiry especially with the courts unlawful policy judgement. Again I really am very sorry for your loss. I lost 2 of my Aunt's to covid. One on my Dad's side too. My Mum's sister though got it when the government rushed elderly out of hospital without testing them for covid. When Hancock was promising a full ring of protection around Care homes. Which was blatant lying. As there wasn't at all. Take care sheriff . |

Yes, I really like him. He’s been the best campmate by far….throws himself into every task, doesn’t bitch about anyone or complain, is supportive and upbeat.... and he takes the awful way some of them treat him on the chin with grace and dignity. Fair play to him! :)

Still think he’s a bit devious …

Certain people seem to get a pass when they have affairs, I remember the hate Nick Knowles got when he was in the jungle .. about his marriage breakdown. I personally didn't have a clue about his affair. But I liked Nick in the jungle and thought he seemed like a decent guy. So while I'll agree that non of us know the ins and Outs of someone's personal home life , seems people are more willing to forgive Hancock for 'falling in love' , pandemic aside. |
There’s plenty to dislike him for. People are incredibly fickle :joker:

Wouldn't it make more sense to assume it was the carers of the elderly transferring covid onto them, rather than other elderly people that's come back from hospital?

The Care Homes could not refuse to take them back Plus they weren't told the elderly returning to the homes has not been tested for covid on discharge from the hospitals Furthermore despite Hancock's constant assurances that PPE equipment would be with Hospitals and care homes in days. There was NONE. Plus none got for a period further of weeks. Then when he did get some, most of it was unusable. The Care homes were looking after very well their residents. Visits were stopped. Stringent rules in place. Then the government via Johnson and Hancock enacted the policy to free up beds in hospitals that the elderly be rushed out and back to Care homes. Without even being tested for covid. That policy I repeat again, was judged to have been unlawful in Court. Not the Care Homes, the Government policy. Now it will be for the full public independent inquiry to dig deeper and gather ALL the evidence from the avoidable deaths in Care homes groups. I don't think myself I'd like to be Johnson or Hancock when they see that evidence and make their conclusions. Then we'll see what those 2 creeps really were like. Although I doubt to some no matter what they did. They'd still defend them over the families of lost loved ones whose loved ones SHOULD have been 100% safe in Care Homes. As Hancock insisted they were but he was blatantly lying and being only deceitful. The Court has ruled that policy unlawful. Trying to shift the blame on care Home staff of whom some also contracted covid from the elderly being rushed out and back to them. Is a pretty low move. They HAD to take their residents back. They couldn't leave them on the streets??? |

Trying to shift the blame on care Home staff of whom some also contracted covid from the elderly being rushed out and back to them. Is a pretty low move. Sorry Joey, but it's not a low move, nor is it trying to shift the blame onto.... To think that carers wouldn't transmit covid to their patients during the early months of covid would be insane. Although I do believe their will have been instances of elderly patients contracting covid in hospital that week as they were rushed back to the care homes, the patient would have been instantly put into a bed from a stretcher or wheelchair, depending on how sick they were with what originally took them to hospital. So if you combine that original illness, with the covid they had contracted in hospital then 9 times out of ten you are going to have one seriously I'll elderly patient who isnt going to be up and about. Only person who could catch covid from that patient is the carer..wouldnt you say? So my reasoning is, the carer is the spreader, but not all carers will have come into contact with a patient rushed back from the hospitals, but these care homes still had to suffer the same tragedies as your aunts one...so where did that covid come from? |

She was in a really good Care home and only temporarily while her home was being fitted with everything to help with her mobility. I know what's on her medical records and not just related to health. That evidence I and my family got. We have it all set to go to this independent public inquiry. Along with the other groups of bereaved families who lost their members unnecessarily. What your detailing is a sidestepping I'm sorry to say. It's as frustrating to me and all the bereaved family groups that there's the need to have to wait to get our say at the public inquiry. Because we've seen and read the damning evidence. Which we will do nothing to jeopardise before it's given before the public inquiry. Try to blame the Care Homes if you must. Put us down as others have as to just vindictive, unforgiving families just blaming the government. We have the evidence. I was worried when one group took things to the Court. I feared that could jeopardise all the groupings cases. However even on the limited presentation to the Court The Court judged the government policy unlawful. NOT anything the Care Homes did, the policy the government enacted. Anyhow it's clear mountains would be moved to laud Hancock on a TV show and then Johnson too. With NO understanding of the losses of loved ones unnecessarily . Anyhow this is way too personal an issue to me but it astounds me people will laud this deceitful creep Hancock. Who deceived and lied at near every press conference he was at. So I best halt my rants now before I say things I'd be wiser not to. |
I wish you well Joey, and hope you get the ending you are looking for.
