I love Plastic Note Money, today I Took out £100, the Machine gave me £110

You can not take out £110
You can take out £100 or £200 or more

I got a Printed Receipt
Confirmed I took out £100
no more

I checked the Cash again
it was 4 x £20 and 3 x £10.

I thought this new Plastic Cash is special

I have been told by a Professional Banker
to keep using that, in store bank ATM,
as it has not been updated.

The Greedy Bank is not paying out the High Price
of that New ATM that stops the loss.

A Link from 2016
warning about the future problem in ATM's

[Lenders from HSBC Holdings to
Royal Bank of Scotland are working to upgrade
or replace thousands of cash machines before
the Bank of England starts to switch paper money
with notes made of sophisticated polymers later this year.
While the plastic notes have many advantages
, they can be "too slippery" for older machines using friction
to count bills, Andy Mattes,
chief executive officer of ATM manufacturer Diebold,
said in an interview in London]

That's one thing that has always ran away from me: MONEY.

I've always got by but I've never had any luck with it. :(

But at least I'm in good health (I hope). :D

No amount of money can buy health. :)

It is not Stolen

I clicked £100
My printed receipt
confirms that.

This is a Greedy High Street Bank
not willing to invest in new ATMs

That £10 Cash is Free to me (their Banking Error)
until they update their old ATM.

Others like me
are also getting Free Extra cash

This Plastic Note Money is Special.

I would have given that £10 to the Dogs Trust

Fresh plastic notes do stick together, they get static on them. Fold the bundle in half then alternate front to back before you put them in your wallet and they won't stick :hee:. Pro tip.

Have to say I never carry cash any more - even things like ice cream vans in the middle of nowhere (to my actual surprise) take contactless these days.

"Sorry kids, I'll ask but you probably can't get ice cream as I only have my phone contactless no wallet, so sad..."
"Yeah we take contactless no bother mate"
"FFS :hmph:"

Since Covid I've stopped carrying cash around as well, i regretted that last nigt when I had an armful of stuff to bring to the checkout in my local shop but there had just been a power surge so the card machines plus the ATM weren't working :bawling:

Vanessa 22-11-2022 12:35 PM

I only pay with card. But if I need cash I have an ATM machine near my house.

And therein lies the problem, if the systems go down in a cashless society we are all up the creek

bots 22-11-2022 02:08 PM

SB
Nothing wrong with that
it is the way of many.

Cash is still Legal Tender
it is fine to use Cash,
And Many Banks are not paying out
for new ATMs

Now that is their own Greedy Fault

I will be using this ATM in store
of a bank
as it is real good
to get Extra Free Cash.

A bonus for not going card only.

Plastic £50 Notes
are great as you can pack more into briefcase
than the Old Paper version.

You risk prison though with your money laundering
