French luxury brand Balenciaga apologized for its advertising campaign that
showed two young children posing with bears wearing BDSM-style harnesses
and featured court documents that mentioned “virtual child porn.”

The advertisements, which promoted Balenciaga’s Spring/Summer 2023
collection, have been removed from the company’s website and wiped from
social media.

On Fox News, Tucker Carlson said he thought the ad was part of a larger
trend of “adults crossing the line…into deep involvement with the sexuality of
children,” adding a hateful comment about trans children. In a tweet, Ben
Shapiro tied the ads to the presence of BDSM gear at Pride parades.

Exodus Cry, a Christian advocacy group that opposes sex work and
pornography, said in a statement sent to BuzzFeed News that Balenciaga’s
apology was a “collective win for everyone who called out the billion dollar
company.”

When you think how many people would have looked at this before it was published and not a single person raised a concern about it? Very worrying

The Company
has said Sorry

No, they are
Sorry, they made that Design for Children

[Photo Shot by photographer
Gabriele Galimberti, images linked to
the Balenciaga Gift Shop campaign
featured young children dressed
in the Balenciaga Kids line.
According to the original press release
issued last week, the "campaign iterates
on the artist's series Toy Stories,
an exploration of what people collect
and receive as gifts."
In its original press release, the company
said that the line featured
"dozens of new products ranging from
homeware, petwear and scent,
from everyday items to limited-edition
collectibles and bespoke furniture."
But there was an angry response on
social media to the shots which featured
young children with plush teddy bear bags
dressed in what looked like BDSM-inspired outfits.
One child is pictured with an
assortment of empty wine glasses.]

Wasn't France the country that came up with Cuties?

But obviously some people are probably gonna get fired over this I reckon, it's clear as day that it's wrong to do a design like that for children.

the amount of meetings and checks that would have gone on prior to the ad launch and not one person said "wait this is gross"

sounds like it goes right to the top - makes you just wonder about a few of the individuals in the boardroom..

It does make me suspicious of the people at the top, I've got to admit.

Hopefully I'm wrong though.

The types that think that men dressed as sexualized exaggerated women (to humiliate women) would be ideal to talk to 3-year-olds in a library

:skull:

How on earth did their parents give this the go ahead.

Anyway, this TV guy is absolutely on the money (pun intended). The left of Hollywood are all too eager to lecture us regular people when it doesn't cost them. But when it gets in the way of their paper they turn a blind eye. Just like most did with Weinstein and Epstein.

had to bump this again, how has this whole **** show just died down and been forgotten about already?? How is this not one of thee most controversial things that happened last year?

Swan 06-01-2023 01:02 PM

Because the company lines the pockets of all the right people/celebs. It's amazing how morals go out the window when a few dollars are up for grabs.
