She is a New MP
Running scared.
Pathetic.

[Dehenna Davison, the Conservative MP
for Bishop Auckland, has announced
she intends to stand down at the
next general election.

The 29-year-old was elected
as the County Durham constituency's
first ever Tory MP in 2019.

Levelling Up minister Ms Davison
is the fourth Tory MP to announce their
departure this week.

Ms Davison said she now wanted to
devote more time to "life outside politics - mainly
to my family".]

Why become an MP
then win a Special Seat
then Run like a Chicken

Nah.
That seat is well lost to the Cons no matter when the election comes.

She says it's to spend more time with family and away from politics

What on earth did she seek election for in 2019 then just under 3 years ago.
She knows she wouldn't hold the seat.

I do not like Good MP's
running away from the Job.

I think spending a year presenting the Politics Show
National TV
on Sunday at 10AM
changed her views.

Michael Portillo now has that slot

It's no fun being an MP and now you have the added threat of being murdered while doing you job...no thanks

And regarding Dehenna Davison, i remember her popping up on Talk TV (then Talk Radio) soon after she was elected, where she was being paid to make news reports and go on shows. Apparently Talk Radio were training her for a job in the media. But hang on, she's getting paid £80,000 plus to be an MP.

After the training she then went on to GB News where she fronted shows weekly and at other times. Just like that other MP, Esther McVey who fronts a Saturday morning show. Both spend more time being presenters than the do being MPs, but oh yes they accept the full MP salary. :fist:

What a disgrace. And don't me starte on David Lammy!

Dehenna Davison MP

She is important
Won a Labour Seat for the first time

bots 27-11-2022 03:50 PM

the tory party told mp's they had to notify if they were standing down by the end of this month, the same probably applies with labour.

This makes me think there could be an election next summer, why would they need to give 2 years notice

arista 02-12-2022 10:17 AM

Another MP running away

Sajid Javid

A MP with 20,000 votes
above the others

What a waste

bots 02-12-2022 10:39 AM

he is a career politician and he knows he will never be PM now, so no point in continuing

MTVN 02-12-2022 10:57 AM

At least Boris is still standing

MTVN 02-12-2022 10:59 AM

Thing is most of these MPs could easily go and treble their salaries by leaving for the private sector, if your seat is looking in danger then it's not worth the hassle

Bye Javid.
Not really any great loss.

He's really been all over the place politically for the last few years now.

joeysteele 02-12-2022 11:58 AM

It's like he's been doing the hokey cokey as to in and out of ministerial positions.
