Are newborn babies developing quicker in their first year of life?

My little nephews been walking for a month now, can fairly get about no problem.Hes one in 2 weeks time.

I've also just seen a video of a newborn holding its own head up for over a minute whilst it has a good look around.

I think they are.

My son walked at 9 months. He didn't crawl till he was 14 months though

Babies have always known more than people think. I bet if you were to go back to your wee-tot days you’d be amazed at the things you understood.
