Your childhood Christmas stocking
So as a kid what was the deal with your stocking?
My stocking (a big brown wooly kilt stocking) went at the end of my bed on Christmas eve. At sometime around 4am it would have magically filled and there was no feeling like the weight of it when you grasped down in the dark to see if it was full. The gifts in my one were not wrapped, ex-mrs LT's were so we adopted that for the kids and we both still do one for them. I always seemed to get this https://i.pinimg.com/736x/2d/92/39/2...toys--toys.jpg Plus a collins football diary, a bar of cadburys chocolate, maybe a pack of cards, a matchbox car in a box and a satsuma and 10p at the bottom. Id open all my loot and then go and see what my brother got and then go and pester my parents to see if we could go into the living room to open up the big presents (normally id have to wait till like 7am for that) How about you? |
We never had stockings as kids. My kids did though, it's always chocolate and sweets that go in there

We never got stockings - and we had to wait to go downstairs to get our presents. My brother always made me wake our mum and dad so I got the bollocking at 4am. He used to send me back every 30 minutes or so until they eventually gave up around 6ish. My grandad used to stay with us at Christmas and we couldn't open his presents till he got up. The lazy git used to sleep till 7.30 and that felt like the longest lie in ever.

we always do the presents on christmas eve, with the tv on nostalgic channel usually, after we made tea, put christmassy sweets, chocolates on the table and i get to play santa handing out the presents (i don't know what is inside them though, my mom always does wrap them up in the nicest christmas decoration paper and hide them)

You can get more in a pillowcase :)
