Did we land on the moon in the 60s.
What's tibbs latest batch of active users views on this.
I cant see it myself. The mere fact the closest we have seemingly come to landing a manned rocket on the moon aince the 60s is an unmanned rocket orbiting the moon, whilst over 50 years ago we not only safely landed a manned rocket on the moon, but we also managed to somehow get the crew to frolic about upon its surface. But what do you think? |
Yes.
USA did |

SEEMS UNLIKELY

Considering we're looking to land on Mars sooner rather than later, then I'd say that the Human race have had people land on the Moon back then.
|
i watched it happen, got up really early in the morning to watch it.
Yes, it happened, and they repeated the exercise many times over subsequent years |
Yes I believe the USA did.
I can't understand why more wasn't set out to have been done after over the decades since the 60s. There has been a concentration on looking more at Mars the last couple of decades. So maybe now they see the Moon as somewhere to have some base as to then getting Humans to Mars. Hence why they are returning to the moon now. I don't know why the long delay but I'm certain for my own view the USA landed on the moon, I'm totally certain if they hadn't the old USSR particularly Russia would have conclusively proven they had not. |
Not sure. Probably not. They've never come close to sending men there 'again'.
|
Yes we did :joker: :joker:

It's one that I go back and forth on, mainly because the competition between the USSR and USA was so intense over it, I think they plausibly had a good reason to be compelled to fake it... I also find it difficult to believe that it's reasonably possible to make the journey successfully without modern-ish computer technology. Not necessarily the "future tech" we have available now, but I'd say 90's-level computers would be more feasible than what was available in the 60's (which was, essentially, net to nothing at all).
Your car's dashboard control is 1000x + more sophisticated than what was available to NASA in 1969  |
the space race single handedly changed the world we live in due to the simply outrageous amounts of money spent on it. Transistors and non stick pans to name but 2 of them
|
And I've never been happy with the American flag blowing 'in the wind' on the Moon. :D
Nor the 'explanation'. :D Or why no Moon dust was visible when 'the craft landed'. And no blast craters. :D |
The Jeffrey Epstein stuff has left me pretty open to listening to any conspiracy theory these days

We left stuff there, including reflectors that scientists can actually bounce lasers off.
Don't you watch Big Bang? It's where I get all my scientific info. |
Of course it was faked. Why else would their visors be completely black?
|
would it change anyones life if they did or it didn't?
I don't care. The space program during that era was very exciting and as i said earlier, the technological advancements that resulted from it still change our lives today |

It would certainly make the nations population distrust what their government were telling them when it comes to more pressing matters like war in ukraine etc |
Did we land on the moon in the 60s.

The footage alone would explain that … there’s nowt there ..plus the cost alone - and I’d guess the Americans were probably more keen on ploughing billions into weapons than space travel Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

Yeah I was forced to watch it as well .. wasn’t really bothered about space travel and the solar system then , even less so now .. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

On a positive note by dad was fitted with an artificial heart valve years later and the surgeon said the material was developed by the NASA project
