i remember queuing overnight for genesis tickets years ago. Everyone in the queue was polite and friendly, nobody pushed in, nobody caused a problem. Compare that to these days

The Africans are responsible for most of the great music sounds of the 20th century originating from the Blues. But Afro-beats Is a new one on me. I think they're just making it up on the spot at this point.

Afro-beats has existed since the 1960s. You might not have heard of it before now but it’s far from a new term.
Completely different context. Asake was actually born-and-bred in Naija (Nigeria). He’d have no hesitation telling people that’s where he’s from so long as the people weren’t obviously biased or trying to sling mud on the name of his country of origin.
