Charlie's first Christmas speech.
Not as good as Her Majesty the Queen's, was it?
The guy just doesn't have it. Dull as ditchwater. God save the King |
No I loved it, the message and how he highlighted the Christian aspect of Christmas and showed William and Kate doing their great work together.
Beautifully put-together speech and delivered with sincere compassion. https://content.invisioncic.com/Mran...oticons/UK.gif |
We were all ready to eat our Christmas Dinner at 2.35pm. It was nearly on the table. TV was on, all waiting to eat and then watch King Charles.
And then the TV broke down.:shocked: Laura (my friend) said, 'you couldn't make it up!' Pulled the plug out, then in again. TV DEAD as a dodo. So my brother rushed upstairs to get the spare TV. A little smaller screen but it'll do. :D Switched it on 2 minutes to 3pm. :p Didn't miss Charlie. :p * We're now eating mince pies and having Christmas puds at 5pm. :P HAPPY CHRISTMAS!! :hee: :D |

I drinking lots of alcohol and eating good food, and there's a Marilyn Monroe double bill on BBC 2.It doesn't get more cheerful than that. |

I agree LT….he squeezed a lot into that speech. I think he did well. |
Yes keeping Harry and Andrew out
was Essential. |
I would have liked to know about what he was talking about during the Covid lockdown, about it being a great opportunity to "build back better" and how that was going.
He also could have let us in more on the secret of those bags he received from Saudi Arabia. I suppose my expectations were a little higher. |

:hehe:…glad you sorted it out in time…and your dinner didn’t get cold. |

King Charles’s Christmas broadcast was the most watched Christmas TV address by a monarch on record, as the BBC claimed a festive viewing victory over streaming rivals such as Netflix. A record 10.6 million viewers watched Charles’s broadcast on BBC One, BBC Two and ITV, making it the most watched programme on Christmas Day. Excellent! The King will be chuffed. :) |
It was the first time I ever watched the speech, usually I see it on the news, it was a momentous occasion not to be missed, even Mr C watched it
