Andrew Tate arrested
 

Controversial online influencer Andrew Tate has been detained in Romania as part of a human trafficking and rape investigation.

Mr Tate - who was detained alongside his brother Tristan - had his house raided in the capital, Bucharest.

A lawyer for the brothers confirmed their detention, Reuters said.

The former kickboxer rose to fame in 2016 when he was removed from British TV show Big Brother over a video which appeared to show him attacking a woman.

He went on to gain notoriety online, with Twitter banning him for saying women should "bear responsibility" for being sexually assaulted. He has since been reinstated.

I don't think a lot of people on the right wing are defending him tbh, there will always be people who'll defend anyone. But from what i've seen, the left, right and central on the whole are pretty much in agreement that the guy is a knob.

Well I've seen a ton of ridiculous comments on YouTube, claiming he was "set up " & how it's all a "conspiracy" .

And some right wing influencers are defending him ,or trying to make out there's "bigger criminals" to catch . They can't seem to fathom the bloke could still be guilty, like it's pretty serious. But they would rather say he's being "silenced" :notimpressed: .... the delusion.

Romania is a very poor country and parents actually sell they kid’s to foreigners for sex

The bloke openly said women who are assaulted "should take responsibility" , and wasn't he bragging about being a "pimp" !??. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if he's done shady stuff .

So while I'll agree on us waiting on more evidence, he's not exactly pillar of the community is he now .
