Conor McGinty v Ed Sheeran!
M and I wanted Ed Sheeran for our wedding after party music at Frogmore & a night fit for a King & Queen, but they got us Conor McGinty from Derry instead, he sang The Town I Loved So Well & that's when it really kicked off between me and Papa! Archie was singing it all day in School the next day; “Let’s play ball at the gasyard wall!” & Meghan now has to play Conors music every night of the week to get him to sleep on Spotify: https://spoti.fi/3X3HeJy - Don’t get me wrong, Conor’s a fantastic singer & Granny, god rest her soul, loved him when he was on The X Factor; she even stopped drinking her tea & eating her marmalade sandwiches for a week after Conor got swapped out on the 6 chair challenge. She was fuming. She sent Boris packing 45 minutes early during one of his meetings with her at the palace, it was all too much for her. But in saying that, having to listen to Conor every night of the week while Archie does bed time …. without doubt, it has been one of the hardest periods of my life - Oprah has been teaching me advanced breathing techniques over Skype to help me drown out the sounds of Conors voice - Naturally, William is lapping this all up & has decided to use Conors version of “Lovely Derry On The Banks Of The Foyle” as the opening number before his speeches. The whole episode has been ridiculous & has caused me and M great distress. Meghan is adamant that Camilla instigated the whole thing by cancelling Ed last minute & Conor jumped at the chance to perform …. I tend to agree with my wife. The whole situation has cost us a clean fortune as Archie is now a die hard Derry City Football Club fan aswell & point blank refuses to eat his chopped grapes and avocado for breakfast on Mondays & Wednesdays unless we tune into Conors radio show on Drive 105 & watch his TikTok: https://bit.ly/3QAim9N all day long. We had to buy Archie the home & away DCFC jersey, jacket and coat and a season ticket for this year coming. He’s constantly singing “Oh Oh Oh Oh, Everywhere we go, watching Derry City, putting on a show” around the condo in LA. I don’t know how I’m going to manage to get him to the Brandywell this year to watch City win the league. Best about it is, Camilla knew what she was doing, she knows I’m a die hard Finn Harps fan. Kate & William all of a sudden now have all their wee terror wains running around in Shamrock Rovers jerseys too. Coincidence? I think not. The whole things got out of control.
