Do Not Trust the Video

Could be all Staged

No Good as a Solid Link, alone

I would post this on Chat and Games.

well its as good as a YT link

and if its staged that Dad is a better actor than De Niro

but the threads is "thoughts on this?"

not "here is a real life situation 100%"

lets debate

What’s there to debate about? Cheating is wrong. Anyone that cheats is repulsive

Social Media clout.

But also, the dad is clearly in on it and the whole thing is staged.

The reason is the same though... they made it for likes, because that's just a thing people do these days. Some of the faked stuff on TikTok is bizarre. Mosst of it has a "poor wee men" slant as well :joker:. I guess it's a popular genre at the moment.

Another one is the "please help I'm being oppressed by authority" genre, where you conveniently never actually see the "cop at the car window", you just hear them, because it's the driver's pal doing amateur theatre.

People using their kids like this is just so horrible, and the Mum 's acting is terrible

Niamh. 24-01-2023 08:53 AM

This is why I only watch videos of dogs and cats these days

Crimson Dynamo 24-01-2023 09:03 AM

I get a ton of facebook videos which essentially are young men pranking their girlfriends that they are cheating on them

Like they text their gf as she is leaving for work "come around now she has left"

Or they drop them off at the wrong house and when the gf says "wait, this aint my house/" the bf says "oh ****" and hits the accelerator

naturally the girl goes nuts

Cherie 24-01-2023 09:42 AM

I dont think this guy was in on the prank though he seemed genuinely upset which again I dont understand why you would want to humiliate your partner like that, its not like he is some random either he is I presume the childrens Dad!

When people do things like that to make their partner jealous it just attention seeking and reassurance though a bit warped

Nah he put on a good show but he was in on it I reckon. Maybe he missed his calling and an EastEnders role is on the horizon! Or at least Hollyoaks.

Niamh. 24-01-2023 10:27 AM

I need to watch now to weigh in on "is the man an actor" debate :p

Crimson Dynamo 24-01-2023 10:29 AM

regardless is a horrible thing to do to the kids

:umm2:

There's loads of really horrible videos parents have put online of their young kids, really cruel stuff, like wrapping groceries and pretending they were from santa or the grinch coming in taking all their gifts etc then filming them crying :/

I agree, there are some light pranks that go around that are very brief and I think largely fine, but the problem is that ... less discerning ... people see those videos and how popular they can be, and they make their own but take it way too far, and not only that, they keep on going and keep on filming even after the kid is cleary distressed like that somehow makes it funnier.
