TiBB Music Festival: Pittsburgh 2023 // And the winner is... Sweden!!! [pg. 3]
https://i.imgur.com/W1vaqjC.png TiBB Music Festival: Pittsburgh 2023 21 & 25 March 2023 Official Wikia: Click Here! It is time to let the competition begin again (and last time we did this was in February of 2021)! I, with Shaun's knowledge AND Riley's (Wizard) lovely ideas, decided to create a spiritual successor to TiBB Eurovision. Now it's time to start a new era for the contest: doing main edition yearly every April... and we're starting back from square one in Pittsburgh! What songs will be heard? Where are the constant translations into French? When will the madness end? No idea. Quote:
FORMAT The format of the TiBB Music Festival will remain similar to TiBB Eurovision, however, there are some changes. I will have a Spotify playlist of all of the songs for you to listen to the songs during the voting period. VOTING SYSTEM The voting system from the first few editions returns. Every country will each give out two sets of 12, 10, and 8-1 points; one for the jury voting, and the other for the televoting. RULES - If you want to take part, reply to this thread with the countries you want! But please, if you do reserve a country, I expect an entry. --From this edition onwards, everyone can choose 1 to 5 countries to participate as. - In a change from TiBB Eurovision, participants can now choose a song that is already in the public database (look on Spotify or YouTube, there are plenty of songs on either one). - Lyrics, an artist name, song title AND music video are all that's required. - Entries must be submitted to me as soon as possible. The voting portion of the contest will take place over the course of a 1 week period. - And for the first time since Globalvision, countries that are not in Europe or Australia will be able to participate. You have as much time as you need to find your entries. Please find songs that we all may enjoy, and please don't feel afraid to take part The more entries, the more fun it is to run. Songs can be about anything you like, and whilst we are fairly liberal with what is deemed "in good taste" obviously a song containing 30 different death threats may well find itself lost in my inbox and doomed never to enter. The winner of this glorious festivity shall also receive Like last edition, the Big 6 (the top 6 of the previous edition) will all qualify for the final. OP has been updated.
i've chosen my entries now and i can tease they're good fun and uplifting songs
When this finally happens in April, this is gonna be a fun time.
fun fact, the artist i chose for latvia, took part as the duo Fomins & Kleins at eurovision back in 2004
I can say that Ghana, Greece, and South Korea have songs but do not have any member backing them. If anyone wants to choose them, feel free too; because with Calderyon on a break, there isn't anyone to choose South Korea.
Another bump for people to choose countries.
To everyone who's chosen countries, when I do the recap video and the results videos in April; I have a question...
Should I do voting how I have done it with the overall jury points revealed followed by the televoting points OR should I have the jury points revealed country by country before revealing the televoting points? |
country by country
I have also chosen Sweden.
Ghana, Greece, and South Korea are still "free-agents". |
Nicky, please look at your PMs

Bumping this.
I'm contemplating moving this forward to earlier dates in March.
South Korea and Ghana still need chosen by people.
I'm upset that this isn't as popular as it used to be because of lack of people on the forum and the (what feels like hundreds) of debate threads, amongst other threads. |
Here's an example of what the scoreboard will look like: https://i.imgur.com/o6585qJ.png |
