Can they charge the Rich Women Marten

They can charge then BOTH with child neglect and man slaughter assuming the baby has died....why would it just be the woman being charged?

But she can say someone else has the baby.

Not saying who.

no she can't. The baby is her responsibility, she cannot say it is in someone elses care. She will go down for a long time for this. Wealth doesn't come into it

Livia 28-02-2023 09:57 AM

They're describing her as an aristocrat. Hadn't heard that before.... Although I'm not sure what difference it makes.

Yeah it has been prominent in the reports and there was also a reward put up by the family

You can charge with murder on a "missing presumed dead" basis, you don't need a body.

There have been incidents of people being locked up for murder and then the "victim" turning up alive years later :umm2:.

Yup. Poor little lamb.

I don’t like talking about the Madeline McCan case (it’s been over-flogged to death and back over the past 16 years) but this story just sounds like a low-key repeat of that. At the least it sounds like gross neglect.

With this one though as it's a baby, they can't just say they don't know where the baby is like you could with an adult

Well no, but I was pointing out that even when it IS an adult it isn't always "enough" to say something like "Oh they left" or "I have no idea where they are", after enough time passes and someone is declared dead there can still be a murder investigation even with no body or concrete physical evidence that the person is dead.

Obviously with a baby there are even more considerations, they could be potentially charged with neglect even if they know exactly where the baby is and who they left it with.

Unfortunately I think it's more likely in this case that the baby is no longer alive. Either that or they sold it - which, unfortunately, I'm not even joking about... it happens. If that is the case you just have to hope it's an illegal adoption, but without nefarious intent for the child.

hijaxers 28-02-2023 11:31 AM

I'd be very surprised if this baby will be found alive and well sadly, very peased they've been found at long last,

Beso 28-02-2023 02:24 PM

So one rich women who's parents are connected to royalty gets in with a child rapist deported back to britain. Then a baby goes missing. Then the rich aristocrats put up a shut up reward says look at us, we care, we are offering an award, there has been no historical child abuse this side of the family

Honest.

Poor kid. Tibbs not the place to say what I thinks happened to it.

arista 28-02-2023 05:09 PM

Pink baby Ear Muffs
found.
in Brighton

To be honest, how do they know those dumped ear muffs
were there's?
