[A junior doctor holds a placard as she stands
at a picket line outside St Thomas' Hospital
in Westminster in London,
Monday, March 13, 2023.
Thousands of junior hospital doctors
are due to walk out for three days
starting Monday.
It follows strikes in recent months
by nurses and ambulance staff.
The NHS said it would prioritize
emergency care during the strike but
thousands of appointments
will be cancelled.]

£14 per hour is more than enough for what they have to do.

Greedy bastards.

They'll never get that percentage but I think they should get a substantial new award

I'm 100% in support of the junior Doctors, all the way

Greedy bastards.

I wouldn't get out of bed for £14 an hour and - I'm just ging to be honest here, you won't believe it probably - I don't think I work as hard as most doctors.

Like today I mostly listened to spotify and posted on here. Did a couple of emails. One 45 minute Teams meeting. :umm2:.

They obviously deserve paid more.

What does this mean, exactly?

Maybe you deserve to be payed less...bridge the gap a bit.

junior doctors are just not held in the same regard as nurses for some inexplicable reason, so they are starting with a big disadvantage. I think "people" just expect junior doctors to work for a pittance on extended shifts. The word junior doesn't help their cause either

Crimson Dynamo 13-03-2023 05:13 PM

my heart bleeds for them

poor souls

It's a scandal how the junior Doctors have been and still are being treated by this government.

Firstly by the atrocious Hunt when he was health secretary.

Now again here right now by Sunak's appointed waste of space health secretary.
I support them still 100%.

35% is a joke though. Believe me, I have relied on these doctors, so i greatly appreciate them, but this increase is taking the piss

I think they know it is an impossible reach.

However far better needs to be put on the table from this government
After the abuse of the junior Doctors near all through from this government.

arista 10-04-2023 10:44 AM

Labour has stated they can go that high, also.

So they will,
Strike, even if Labour will take power.

You have politicians being paid more then them and still getting nice increases each year as well as all their bills paid, make it make sense? One saves lives the other destroys lives

so you would rather your Liverpool players stopped getting 500K a week and being paid less than a junior doctor?

Because they're fed up of being taken for granted.

This is the 2nd MAJOR dispute in around the last 10 years with this arrogant and ignorant government.
Under 2 different hopeless Health secretary's.

If Labour didn't improve the pay offer considerably.
I'd support them striking against Labour too.

The junior Doctors don't want to strike.
They've been pushed way too far now twice by the Con governments.
