My biggest compliment has always been from those who have come to know me personally that they admire my integrity.

Biggest insult I couldn't possibly type the wordings of but it's sadly par for the course when canvassing politically for the Labour Party and even if you avoid their doors, the insults thrown out from really hardline Con supporters.

A very small, jaunty, extremely elderly man once said to me, "With a face like that you could have been a star on the silver screen!"

Gets me through a bad day sometimes :joker:.

One of the biggest insults I got was kind of a backhanded compliment (of sorts) and has stuck with me for ever.

When I was at school, I used to get the bus with a lad who I was sure I would one day marry. He didn't know of my love for him and it was very much unrequited. One day we were talking on the bus and Belinda Carlise was in the charts and he said to me "See, gingers can be fit, there's hope for you one day" It broke a little bit of my soul that day, I'm still not over it, I think I should have had counseling.

He then asked my best friend out the week after and there ended my crush. :bawling:

I've been told that I'm retarded before, back at Primary School though so it's probably a ridiculous one to bring up, but it's probably the most offensive thing that I can remember in my life that would personally offend me.

Is it a bit late to tell you that he was like 99% defo flirting with you and asked out your friend because you didn't pick up on it?

I get compliments at work. But I'm not comfortable accepting them. I never know what to say
