All you can eat buffets?

Have you ever been to one? What do you think of them?

I have a love hate relationship with them. I loved them when they first started opening up about 10 -15 years ago,. That turned to hate cuz, lets face it, its not the best quality food.

You have to be tactical though. Avoid all the complex carbs, and go straight for the meats. :joker:

hideous concept, to me an alien way of thinking of food

When you go to them and you realise your in a room full of obese people I lose my appetite and feel gross

Vanessa 10-04-2023 07:22 PM

I go to the same one.
They do take away and it's only a fiver.

I like a Chinese buffet but haven't been to one in years.

My favourite.
There are so many in Chinatown, in London.

GiRTh 10-04-2023 07:42 PM

Those are the best. Avoid all the rice and noodles though

I’ve only been a few times and I get full quickly but if you go to a quality restaurant they still are worth going to.

there are some very mediocre buffets that give them a bad name, but, i once had an indian buffet and it was sublime

LaLaLand 11-04-2023 12:38 AM

Love!

My local Indian does one on a Sunday and it's immense. £12 all you can eat including one free drink (pint for me usually).

I'd be there every week. That sounds great

This is true. The bad ones let them all down

Redway 11-04-2023 03:26 AM

I rather like them.

Mystic Mock 11-04-2023 03:55 AM

I'm a food buff, so I fully support their existence.:joker:

hijaxers 11-04-2023 05:05 AM

Never been to one because it would be pointless for me as even if i'm starving i just can't eat large amounts of food .

Cherie 11-04-2023 08:29 AM

Last one I had was on a cruise and the food was lovely....Its not something I would seek out in a restaurant though

I've only ever been to Chinese ones over in Spain, they were handy when the kids were younger because they could just pick bits and pieces. I don't think I ever even came across all you can eat places here in Ireland, not saying they don't exist but I don't know any
